Hanky Panky (Easy Recipe)

Transform your kitchen into a hub of delicious aromas with this easy-to-follow recipe that rivals the appeal of our easy chicken fajitas.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 12 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground hot pork sausage
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 (16-ounce) package Velveeta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Cayenne pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste

  • 1 loaf sliced rye cocktail bread

Instructions

  • Prepare Your Oven: Begin by preheating your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Cook the Meat Mixture: In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine ground beef, sausage, and onion. Cook while stirring until the meats lose their pink color, approximately 5 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add Seasonings: Lower the heat setting. Incorporate the Worcestershire sauce, then season with cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes according to your taste preferences.
  • Melt the Cheese: Cut the cheese into small cubes and add them to your meat mixture. Stir continuously until completely melted and well combined. Remove from heat once smooth.
  • Assemble and Bake: Arrange rye bread slices on your baking sheet. Top each piece with a generous spoonful of the meat and cheese mixture. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the bread becomes toasted and the cheese bubbles invitingly.

  • Serve: Present immediately while hot and bubbly.
